Security forces killed a Fitna al Hindustan terrorist during an intelligence-based operation in the Minaz area of Kech district, Balochistan, security sources said on October 29. The terrorists were attempting to set up a blockade while taking two women with them. Forces pursued them as they fled, and one was killed in the exchange of fire. Arms and ammunition were recovered, and clearance operations are underway to eliminate any other terrorists in the area.
This is the fourth reported operation in Balochistan in a week, after 10 killed in Gwadar on October 22, 9 in Kachhi and Wadh on October 26, and 5 in Khuzdar on October 27. On October 22, Fitna al Hindustan terrorists attacked near the Gabd border crossing and in Gwadar city, killing a civilian, before forces killed them, including a woman. ISPR said a Baloch woman was coerced into that attack, calling it a crime against the hurmat of Baloch women. A day earlier, forces foiled an attempt on a construction company camp in Gwadar.
Minaz shows the same method: women taken along with the group. Read together, the Gwadar attacks and the operations in Kachhi, Wadh, Khuzdar and now Kech trace a campaign by the group to disrupt the coast and border belt, and the forces’ response across those districts.
