Digital Debate welcomes opinion pieces from scholars, analysts, diplomats, policymakers, journalists, and informed practitioners. We publish op-eds that advance serious debate on geopolitics, security, diplomacy, economics, and governance, with a focus on South Asia, the Muslim world, and global affairs.
What We Publish
We look for op-eds that take a clear, arguable position and defend it with evidence. A strong submission to Digital Debate does the following:
- Makes one central argument and develops it with specificity
- Draws on data, documented events, or credible analysis
- Engages with counterarguments rather than ignoring them
- Adds something to the public debate that has not already been said

- Language: English only

Editorial Standards
Digital Debate applies the following standards to every submission:
- Accuracy: All factual claims are verified before publication. The editorial team reserves the right to remove or correct claims that cannot be independently verified.

- Fairness: Arguments must engage with the subject honestly. Pieces that misrepresent opposing positions or rely on selective quotation will be returned for revision.
