Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özkan is a Professor of International Relations at Turkey’s National Defence University and a member of the Turkish Maarif Foundation's executive board. He is the author of several foundational books, including Turkey's Involvement in Somalia: A State-Building in Progress, and specializes in Global South dynamics, counter-radicalization, and emerging multi-polar defense partnerships.
